FeVote Tabs (home, create suggestion board...)

- I would like to see a history tab with all recently visited suggestion boards. What is that crappy blank space there anyone up at the top.
- I think the grouping is weird too of the tabs. The Home tab really doesn't have a purpose, you can click on that on the icon. Create suggestion board is to lengthy. Suggestions is a little misleading. It should be (from right to left)
Search Boards (color 1)
Create Boards (color 1)
<then a small visual white gap>
[Name of Suggestion Board] (color 2)
[Name of Suggestion] (color 2)(not visible if in Suggestion Board view)
New Suggestion (color 2)
<then a small visual white gap>
My Profile (color 3)

Maybe history could be a drop down under [Name of Suggestion Board]. Eventually subcategories would go after [Name of Suggestion Board] and before [Name of Suggestion].

The tabs are being reworked, not exactly to this specification, but close.

[Name of Suggestion Board] could get pretty darn long with some names, so we're inclined to stick with an icon and "Suggestions" unless a better idea comes along.

We're definitely in favor of drop-downs and history menus. : )

FeVote Team, thanks for the quick reply. Is there anyway to get a timeline of the future upgrades and planning. Just a rough estimate. I am planning using your site and making a video tutorial to explain to my users how to use the site. However, once updated some features and the UI will be outdated in the video. I just want to do the integration at the opportune moment.

That sounds like a grand idea! I'd love to hook you up with our release schedule, but it's always contingent on a number of factors. Priorities change from time to time.

Really, the best way to stay updated is through our blog ( http://blog.fevote.com/ ). I'd recommend subscribing to our blog feed, and for more insight into what we might be releasing soon, you could also subscribe to FeVote's official responses feed ( https://fevote.com/fevote/official_responses ).

If it's any assurance, we run the risk of outdated screenshots whenever we adjust FeVote's UI, so we take a lot of care in UI decisions. Major changes are not something we take lightly. : )
