Threaded comments for each page

Right now the "comments" section at the bottom of each page is linear. Once the number of comments gets large, it becomes impossible to navigate. It would be nice to have simple threading to allow easier following of a discussion. The comments should display showing hierarchy, based upon which message was a response to which. Sort of like Slashdot or many others, but without extra fancy stuff like ratings and display thresholds.

This should be fairly straightforward to do, and would make the comments much more usable without needing to resort to a separate forum.

This can be done by hiding the Comments Element and then adding an embedable threaded comment widget like www.atomboards.com

Given that this is for an intranet wiki inside a firewall, use of an external forum like Atomboards would be inappropriate. Plus, it looks like atomboards lets you create one board at a time, whereas I'd like to see an individual threaded board for each wiki page. Again, just like the comments that are there now, but with threading added.

I will say that the Atomboards' behavior is pretty close to what I want.

I agree with neilw, that we are using deki as a secured site and attaching an external forum is not a solution...
