Album sharing

I'd like to see a way of sharing photo albums.

Me and my boyfriend are always going on wee trips together and every time we get back we have to swap our photos and then both put them on our facebooks.

Could there be a way where you could request to copy someone's album and if they agree it gets added as one of your own photo albums, is fully editable and stays there even if the original person removes the album or some of the photos?
