"Site Down" Flag for Dugg Websites and Mirror Links
There should be a "Site Down" label next to promoted links that are temporarily down. Additionally, there should be a dropdown box with links to mirrors such as DuggMirror, Coral, Google Cache and Wayback Machine.

I've seen many, many comments pleading for mirror links. I'm surprised that Digg hasn't at least commented on the issue.

Very good, saves me looking at Server not found... at LOT of times

The idea is good, but I fear that the implementation would require tying javascript to the site link, which could impair other features or performance. But, if this can be done efficiently without obscuring the nice clean links that Digg currently uses, then I'm for it.
(Technical dissussion: Normal links include the destination URL [as seen when hovering over the link], but some links show javascript instead [not currently on Digg]. Javascript links suck. If event listeners can be employed without hiding the destination URL, that would be good.)

That's actually a very good idea, I'd love to see that implemented.

instead of just a list
digg should say something like this site is currently down
may we recommend a mirror with which to view the site
that way they can get out of any trouble of people thinking that they are partnered with the site in question
