Deki Wiki doesn't support wiki markup as it is non standard. We store all of our information as XHTML and have a WYSIWYG editor along with source where you can code HTML.

This has come up in the forums a few times, and my sense is that the developers are sticking with with XHTML. From a usability standpoint, this makes a lot of sense.

It would also be tough to translate some of Deki Wiki's advanced features back into a markup syntax for later editing.

All in all Deki Wiki is the best wiki I have used, I just miss the quick and easy way to edit pages with a simple markup language. But since I'm already below zero on points here I see that im a minority on this view ;)
