Comment Score for User
Include an overall commenting score for each user on the Top Diggers page as well as each user's commented page.
Many feel that comments are a necessary part of community participation, and as such, many are concerned about the quality of comments. Providing a statistic that shows the diggs and buries of a user's comments would allow these scores to be compared among users.

This would be awesome to know what people in general think of a users comments. It would definitely make digg more social.

This would result in a huge increase in comments, users will get pissed off at the comment flood system, and possibly go on a rampage in McDonalds.
I think it's good on one hand, because it does promote discussion, but how many users will be writing rubbish just to get their score up?

@sfacets,
That's a reasonable warning. Keep in mind that the score would be drived from both diggs and buries for a user's comment. A person writing lots of garbage would have most of their comments buried; and as a result, their overall score would suffer. I imagine that if this became a big deal, then the comment scoring system would also have a secret algorithm to prevent gaming the comment scores.
The hope, though, is that this would promote better comments.

That would ease the process on one hand and complicate at the same time
